My Younger Brother is a Hero Chapter 100

100.

He could call for someone inside, but that might trigger Seon-woo.

‘They’ll figure it out on their own anyway.’

It didn’t seem like Hyeon-woo or Do-jin, who had more power than him, wouldn’t notice this.

‘Anyway, this is a problem right now.’

A rampaging Awakened was no different from a monster – he would become more instinctive. Against such a person, the rampage must be subdued without major damage.

‘I don’t know if that’s possible.’

He wanted to do it. Ga-jun took out a small bottle from his bosom. This was the strongest of the sedatives he had, and it took effect just by skin contact. For that reason, it was used to capture monsters alive, but it also worked on humans. Having used it, he knew how to properly adjust the amount.

‘The problem is how to approach him.’

Ga-jun was not a ranged Awakened. Because of that, when meeting difficult monsters and raiding, he was always accompanied by a wind-type Awakened.

‘But there aren’t any here.’

Ga-jun glared at Seon-woo.

“Seon-woo-ya!”

Hyeon-woo’s voice came from inside. At the same time, Seon-woo’s eyes turned to him. Seizing the opportunity, Ga-jun immediately rushed at Seon-Woo, but quickly stepped back.

An ice pick that had risen sharply from the floor.

“That’s heartless.”

The ice pick did not stop there and continued to expand its range.

“Ji Seon-woo!”

Hyeon-woo’s voice was heard again. Unlike Ga-jun, who was aiming for an opportunity while avoiding the ice pick, Hyeon-woo was running without avoiding any of his attacks. Every time his legs crossed the floor, bloody ice picks shattered.

However, perhaps because this person was his younger brother, he was not able to attack him more aggressively than he thought.

Hyeon-woo was embraced by a shadow rising from the floor. Then, he flew right next to Seon-woo.

“...Hyung.”

Even in a state where the energy explosion had gone away due to the rampage, it seemed some reason remained with Seon-woo. Unlike when Ga-jun approached, he didn’t attack right away.

Because of that, Hyeon-woo was able to grab Seon-woo’s arm. But that was all he could do.

Hyeon-woo, who was looking at Seon-woo with a tear-stained face, bit his lip. Then he lifted his leg. He seemed to be planning on knocking him out by kicking him in the stomach.

‘Oh my.’

Ga-jun clicked his tongue and shouted quickly.

“Keep hold of him!”

Fortunately, Hyeon-woo followed Ga-jun’s words exactly. He hugged the struggling Seon-woo tightly and endured it. Then, Do-jin moved Ga-jun right next to Seon-woo.

However, it seemed that Hyeon-woo was the only one who was inconsiderate in removing the ice picks.

He was scraped by an ice pick.

‘What is this luck.’

Ga-jun gritted his teeth and sprayed the sedative on Seon-woo’s exposed neck. However, because he quickly lowered his body and evaded it, the sedative stopped flowing through the air. With overflowing power, Seon-woo held onto his Hyung.

“Hold harder!”

This time, Do-jin also moved to tie up Seon-woo. A shadow rising from below moved to tie Seon-woo’s leg. Seon-woo avoided him this time as well, holding Hyeon-woo in his arms.

“Use your strength, use it!”

“How can I use my strength against Seon-woo!”

“Just use it though! If the rampage gets worse, it’ll get dangerous!”

After closing his eyes tightly, Hyeon-woo threw himself onto the floor, hooking Seon-woo’s legs. In the meantime, he himself was the one who didn’t want his younger brother to get hurt. Do-jin took care of it with a shadow.

Ga-jun approached Seon-woo, avoiding the hail of ice picks. Then, he poured sedative on the exposed nape of his neck.

“Success.”

The flying ice picks just fell apart.

“What did you sprinkle?”

Ga-jun held up his bottle.

“Sedatives.”

He didn’t say that it was enough to put a monster the size of an elephant to sleep. After all, if you are an S-class Awakened, you’re stronger than most monsters. So nothing major would happen.

Only after everything was finished did Miriel lightly fly down from upstairs.

“What a fuss tonight.”

“What a fuss. No, wait. Rather, have you been watching? Didn’t you think you could help?”

“Why should I help humans?”

“You got your meal! You have to pay for the meal!”

“Hmm, is that so?”

Miriel tilted her head.

“Then let me help.”

Miriel approached Seon-woo, who was lying in Hyeon-woo’s arms, and placed her hand on him.

“What are you doing?”

“Calming the rampaging energy.”

“Did you have that kind of talent too?”

“Angels are specialized in healing. But it’s only a temporary measure. It will be useless unless you address the underlying problem.”

“An underlying problem?”

At those words, Ga-jun looked at Hyeon-woo and Do-jin alternately without even realizing it. The problem was right in front of his eyes.

“Can you fix this?”

It hadn’t been long since his hopes had been crushed, but the immediate situation said there was no time to care about him.

“First.”

Ga-jun looked around and sighed. The villa was already half destroyed, and only a few parts were intact. When he looked inside, the kitchen seemed usable.

“Let’s go in and talk.”

It wasn’t in great condition, but it was better than being outside. Hyeon-woo nodded at Ga-jun’s words.

“I will take Seon-woo.”

Hyeon-woo carefully hugged Seon-woo, who was bigger than himself. He carried him like a princess, which was a bit funny. He shouldn’t be laughing now. Ga-jun desperately suppressed his laughter and followed him inside.

Hyeon-woo pulled a sofa that was relatively in good condition and laid Seon-woo on it. His legs were sticking out because he was so tall, but it couldn’t be helped.

“Thank you.”

Miriel calmly accepted Hyeon-woo’s greeting.

“I just paid for the meal.”

“Thank you anyway.”

“If so, I’ll accept it.”

After the greetings were over, the rest of us sat down at the dining table.

“Now that I’m asking, what the hell is this all about?”

Ga-jun answered Hyeon-woo’s question.

“It’s a rampage phenomenon of the Awakened.”

“Do Awakened go on a rampage?”

“But. Even if there are only a few cases, the general public doesn’t know much about it because it’s remained buried.”

“Why did he go on a rampage?”

Ga-jun calmly explained the reason for the rampage.

“We’ve understood generally that when emotions reach their peak, they go into a rampage.”

“It’s a matter of emotion.”

It seemed that he was diligently rolling his head trying to find a corner. But he didn’t have to think deeply. The reason was simple.

“In Ji Seon-woo’s case, he is very obsessed with his Hyung.”

“It can’t be.”

“Well, I told him that you were dating Han Do-jin. Wasn’t it something you would have to tell him about anyway?”

“It is, however.”

Hyeon-woo let out a deep sigh while washing his face dry.

“I think it’s because he fears that if his Hyung gets a lover, he won’t be as loved. It is what I wonder too.”

“No way. Seon-woo is my one and only younger brother. I love Seon-woo just as much, although I love Hyung too, of course. I can’t rank them.”

“Then tell that to Ji Seon-woo, not me.”

“I should. I should.”

Do-jin stretched out his hand and gently wrapped his arms around Hyeon-woo’s shoulder.

“It’s going to be okay. Let’s talk. He might be able to understand.”

“I don’t think he will.”

Ga-jun spoke with a grin.

Seon-woo was too upright. He had founded a guild for his Hyung, whom he had separated from at an early age, and grew his power. Other people didn’t matter to him. There was only one person he yearned for, his Hyung. Because he was his only family.

“Well, do it yourself. I don’t particularly like Ji Seon-woo, and I won’t be able to help him.”

Then he went out on the road. It was because he had a sudden urge to smoke.

“It’s crazy.”

What was the point of family? He found a handrail that was in decent shape, put his hips on it, and took out a cigarette. The smoke he had after a long time felt really bittersweet.

‘It’s my fault.’

The moment he heard the reason for the rampage from Ga-jun, a thought came into his mind: ‘You’re my precious younger brother. I can’t believe I made you feel uneasy.’

Didn’t he make up his mind in the Demon Realm? That he would return for his brother. He was sure that was where his heart laid, but he couldn’t read his younger brother’s loneliness because he was enshrouded in joy.

‘I shouldn’t be like that.’

Do-jin tried to comfort him by the side, but now he couldn’t even hear him. Hyeon-woo stumbled up from his seat and sat down next to Seon-woo.

“Seon-woo-ya.”

He looked pretty while sleeping. A straight forehead, a pointed nose, and even reddish lips. He had all the conditions for beauty.

“My sweet little brother.”

While doing so, Seon-woo’s fingertips wriggled slightly.

“Seon-woo-ya?”

It looked like he was awake.

“Hyung?”

“Unn, Seon-woo-ya.”

“I had a strange dream.”

“What dream did you have?”

Seon-woo frowned and spoke softly.

“My Hyung is dating Han Do-jin.”

He should have beaten Ga-jun. It just passed his mind because he was in a tough situation, but it seemed that he was the cause in the first place. All of a sudden, strength went into his fist.

“Do you not like that?”

“I don’t.”

Seon-woo answered firmly.
