My Younger Brother is a Hero Chapter 95

Updated: Apr 14

95.

“It’s a work of power. What are you planning to do with him?”

Miriel answered sharply.

‘As expected, I don’t like demons.’

Since she was young, she had been taught that demons were detestable species, but there was no way she would change her mind now.

“I’ll give you terrible pain.”

“Hey, did you think you would kneel in front of the pain!”

Alberg then raised his fist. Miriel took a defensive posture against him. The room, which had been quiet the entire time, became noisy.

“Stop!”

Hyeon-woo, who came in between the two, raised his palm.

“This is a hospital room. Stop it, Alberg.”

“But that’s all nonsense!”

“You must be the one, who’s talking nonsense!”

“Stop it, too, Miriel. We have a patient here.”

Miriel came out rugged, but first, she took back her fighting stance. Only then did Alberg lower his fist, but his expression was dissatisfied.

“If that kid wasn’t needed, I would have killed him long ago.”

“You are saying what I wanted to say.”

The atmosphere turned grim again. And then, a familiar voice reached Hyeon-woo’s ears.

“Hyeon-woo-ya.”

It was Do-jin’s voice.

“Do-jin Hyung!”

Hyeon-woo turned around and knelt down next to Do-jin. Seeing him like that, Do-jin closed his eyes and smiled. It was a sweet and friendly smile. But as he looked at him, something choked up came out from the depths of his chest.

“Why are you laughing?”

Hyeon-woo said in a trembling voice.

“It’s nice to see you.”

Who was responsible for this? Why was this person being so generous? Hyeon-woo felt his eyes grow hot.

“Are you okay?”

As if he had noticed that feeling, Do-jin comforted Hyeon-woo.

“Am I okay – what’s okay! When you are dying right now!”

“I have no regrets. If I went back to that situation, I’d still do the same thing.”

“If we went back to that situation, we should both think about surviving. Why would you act the same!”

“That’s right, huh.”

Having said that, Do-jin started to cough.

“Doctor–should I call a doctor?”

Do-jin stopped Hyeon-woo from reaching out his arm to ring his bell.

“No.”

“But you are coughing like this!”

“This is alright.”

The cough barely subsided after a while.

“Hyeon-woo-ya.”

“Don’t talk. Rest now.”

“No, I have to say this.”

“What are you saying?”

“Don’t risk your life for me.”

Hyeon-woo’s stomach twisted because his voice was overly determined. He casually laid down his life. Why did he do that?

“No!”

The answer that came naturally was not good.

“Hyeon-woo-ya.”

“No, You can’t!”

“Hyeon-woo-ya, listen!”

Following Hyeon-woo, Do-jin also raised his voice.

“I don’t want to lose you.”

“That’s the same for me too.”

At Hyeon-woo’s words, Do-jin raised the corner of her mouth and smiled. It was a kind of sad smile.

‘I don’t want to die.’

He wanted to live and stay by Hyeon-woo’s side. After his death, Hyeon-woo might meet someone else. He would hold his hand with another, kiss him, and touch his skin.

It was terrifying to even think about it, but Do-jin had no intention of letting out all of that emotion. Because he wanted Hyeon-woo to always be happy.

‘But you must live.’

He didn’t want to sacrifice Hyeon-woo’s life to survive. Do-jin stretched out his trembling hand and stroked Hyeon-woo’s cheek. His smooth cheeks were wet and damp. His heart ached at the sight of Hyeon-woo crying without a sound.

He didn’t want him to cry, but he did.

“Don’t cry.”

Hyeon-woo shed tears without answering.

“I’m not crying.”

He lay and put his hand on top of Do-jin’s. His hands were still big, but he didn’t feel the strength.

‘Damn you angel!’

If they say that they can treat it, then they can treat it. Whether it was a demon or an angel, did that even matter?

Hyeon-woo closed his eyes tightly and opened them. Then, he carefully put Do-jin’s hand on the bed.

“Don’t think about strange things, and just rest.”

Having said that, Hyeon-woo approached Miriel and grabbed her hand before she could say anything.

“Follow me.”

Embarrassed, Miriel tried to take her hand away, but couldn’t overcome Hyeon-woo. That was right, when he was in the Demon Realm, he fought with Alberg. It was easy to deal with Miriel, who was in a class lower than that.

“Hey!”

Ga-jun tried to follow but was stopped by Spotty with his eyes piercing his body.

“Alberg, don’t follow me either.”

The eyes looking back are fierce. Alberg shrugged his shoulders and raised both hands.

“I have to follow you!”

Frustrated, Ga-jun hit his chest with his fist, but Alberg looked carefree.

“Hyeon-woo knew what to say to the angel!”

“Perhaps he would give his life and ask for Han Do-jin to be cured?”

“Why didn’t you follow him when you knew that?”

“Well, I don’t think a kid would go that far.”

“You don’t think that? Didn’t she openly tell him to give up his life?”

Alberg laughed at Ga-jun’s words.

“Looks like she’s still less affected by the ideologies of the Angels.”

“Are you sure?”

“Certainly.”

Only then did Ga-jun release the tension from his body. In the meantime, Do-jin lost his mind again. If not, he would have been the first to get up and follow Hyeon-woo.

“By the way, isn’t Han Do-jin your love rival? You don’t have to save him, do you?”

“That’s the same for you. There’s no reason to save Han Do-jin, right?”

“Yes, that’s true.”

Alberg ran his hand over his chin.

“I don’t even know why I did it either.”

Ga-jun scratched his head with his hand. Both of them were fools. Giving everything for love, while he himself does not know why.

“If you don’t know, then it’s fine.”

Ga-jun pulled a chair and sat down on it, his arms crossed, and his eyes closed.

“What are you doing!”

“What are you doing!”

Miriel, who had been unintentionally dragged to the corner of the rooftop, got angry. Then Hyeon-woo pushed her inside and raised his hand to hit the wall.

Bang!

There was a tremendous sound that was not likely to have been made by a human being. Fortunately, no one was on the roof.

“Miriel.”

“Huh?”

Miriel shrugged her shoulders involuntarily at Hyeon-woo’s force. It’s small and doesn’t look strong, but it’s strange.

“You said you would heal him if I gave you my life, right?”

“That’s why I did say.”

“Then I’ll give it to you now.”

Seeing him approaching with his chest open, Miriel flinched and leaned back, but there was nowhere to back off. She sighed deeply and looked into Hyeon-woo’s eyes.

“Is that person that precious?”

“Yes.”

“To the point where it’s okay to give up your life?”

“Yes.”

Miriel became lost in her thoughts. Her father said that humans were weak and had a propensity to evil. She thought the same of this man too, especially as he was close to Alberg, a demon.

But her ideas were faltering a little.

‘Can a weak human lay down his life for others.’

A question arose. That was why she wanted to assess it. Would he be able to stick to his opinions to the end?

Miriel distanced herself from Hyeon-woo and took out her spear. A precious spear telling her to defeat evil. She aimed the spear at his neck.

“It may be painful.”

“It’s okay.”

Miriel drew her strength and threw out her spear. The spear, which was extended at high speed, was directed at Hyeon-woo’s neck. Then, with the spear embedded in a little of his neck, she stopped.

Avoiding it, crying, or trembling. None of her imaginations fit what happened. He just stood there smiling.

“Are you not afraid of death?”

“Is there such a person, who doesn’t?”

“But why?”

Hyeon-woo answered Miriel’s question by rolling his eyes.

“Should I say it here?”

“Okay.”

“I haven’t properly told Do-jin Hyung yet.”

“It has nothing to do with me.”

“Okay, I’ll tell you.”

Hyeon-woo took a deep breath and said.

“Because I like Do-jin Hyung.”

“You like him?”

“Yes, I like Han Do-jin!”

Hyeon-woo, who shouted loudly, had a face that looked relieved. He probably didn’t notice the other human watching him from behind. If he had known, he would have lowered his voice.

“I get it.”

Miriel withdrew her spear. In the meantime, blood was bleeding from Hyeon-woo’s neck, but neither she nor Hyeon-woo cared.

“I’ll heal whoever you want.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

“Then what is the price?”

“It’s done. I just said that to assess you. Instead, I’ll go with you to keep an eye on the demons.”

Hyeon-woo’s expression bloomed at Miriel’s words.

“Thank you!”

“Alright. Then let’s go back.”

The other human beings who appeared for a while had already disappeared. For a human being, he seemed to have great skills. He didn’t seem particularly hostile, so she didn’t think he was an enemy.

Miriel glanced at the spot where she had moved from before turning her attention to Hyeon-woo.

‘Well, it doesn’t matter.’

It could have been someone passing by.

“Then let’s go!”

At first, it seemed that she had to solve this one. Miriel said, shaking off Hyeon-woo who was holding her hand again.

“I can go by myself!”

“Alright!”

This expression looked much better than the gloomy face. Miriel thought so and she followed Hyeon-woo.
